The Tribe Band forms to create their first ever show
Kevin Wachs is a longtime San Fernando Valley resident and founding member of the band Pacific. Kevin, his wife Mare, and their family are the principals of The Get Together Foundation, the nonprofit organization bringing you this show tonight. In addition to playing drums, Kevin is the publisher of Rock Cellar Magazine, an online music/popular culture magazine that has featured many A-list subjects/interviews including Ringo Starr, Jimmy Page, and Graham Nash. Kevin was also the Executive Producer of Rosemary Butler’s solo album, You Just Watch Me, and the Abbey Road-recorded Pacific’s Greatest Hits 1974-2014.
Lauri Reimer is a singer/songwriter and acoustic guitarist with a degree in Music Therapy and a passion for live music. Originally from New York and born to a music teacher, she made her home in Los Angeles where she holds down two careers: as a fitness educator and in music, as a writer and performer, and as a producer and promoter of live music events. Writing has helped her gain perspective on herself and taught her to look at life’s meaning in a deeper way. Lauri also does PR for several well-known artists around town including The Tribe.
Jay Cohen has nearly 45 years of experience playing bass, which has kept him a happy man. A prominent attorney by day, Jay’s real passion—music—has allowed him to perform everywhere from concert halls to dive bars. A founding member of Captain Cardiac and the Coronaries, Pacific, and Radio Club, Jay is also a regular participant in The Get Together Foundation’s events and the annual Hope for Firefighters fundraiser in DTLA. Kevin Wachs and Jay have been driving the rhythm bus on Pacific’s “farewell tour” of Los Angeles for decades.
Michael Stern is a musician, record producer, and engineer who has worked with some of the best talent in the industry. Michael was lead guitarist in the Hollywood stage production of The Who’s ‘Tommy: the Musical’. He co-produced Rosemary Butler’s album, “You Just Watch Me”, which features Kenny Loggins and Jackson Browne. Michael has recorded and mixed over 200 film scores, including: the #1 ‘Dumb and Dumber To’, ‘Iron Man 2’, ‘Sex and the City (1,2)’, ‘The Notebook’, ‘August: Osage County’ and the trailer for ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’. Film scores include ‘Boo! A Madea Halloween.’
John Pratt is a prolific and thought-provoking singer and songwriter whose career has spanned several decades beginning in the late ’70s in San Francisco. After moving to Los Angeles, he fronted several bands that featured his powerful vocals. John released 3 albums under the Firefly band name in Europe and Asia and his critically acclaimed solo album, Turn the Page in 2013. John maintains an illustrious career scoring and producing compositions for movies and major television network shows including MTV, National Geographic, GXN, ESPN, Entertainment Tonight, Dr. Phil, and Rachael Ray, and he composed the music for some of the most successful telefilms. Catch him playing with his band around Los Angeles.
Rosemary Butler gained popularity in the late 1970s and early ’80s as a back-up singer alongside Bonnie Raitt, Linda Ronstadt, Jackson Browne, James Taylor, Paul McCartney, Carole King, Neil Diamond, Billy Joel, Bruce Springsteen, Kenny Loggins, Whitney Houston, Ray Charles, and many other A-listers. She was the contractor and co-conductor of the 100 Voice Choir featured on Neil Young’s Living With War album and movie, and the Super Bowl, President Clinton’s Inauguration, and The Grammys have all been graced by her voice. She won a Telly Award for a video retrospective look at her fascinating career. Blessed with a four-octave mezzo-soprano range, her vocal expertise is a technical marvel. Rosemary’s latest solo album, the critically acclaimed You Just Watch Me, was released in 2013 with the help of her friends Kenny Loggins and Jackson Browne.
Gary Stockdale is a singer/songwriter, and a 2-time Emmy-nominated composer of TV, film, and commercial music. He has composed music for Sabrina, the Teenage Witch; To Tell the Truth; The Aristocrats movie; and Showtime’s Penn & Teller: Bullshit! Gary was an original member of The Brian Setzer Orchestra, and he sang a featured solo in the cult classic musical TV series Cop Rock. He has lent his voice to major films (Avatar, Star Trek Beyond, The Prince of Egypt) and TV shows (The Simpsons, Family Guy), and backed up Adele on the 2013 Oscars. Gary frequently performs around L.A., and CBS TV named him one of the “best singer-songwriters in Los Angeles” in 2014. His project, BUMPERSTICKER — The Musical, played the Hollywood Fringe Festival to rave reviews.
Steven Goddard is a prolific writer who uses his songs as a vehicle to tell stories in a creative way. His songs weave memorable melodies with provocative and captivating lyrics about love, life, and everything in between. Steven is also an accomplished guitarist and also proficient on violin, viola, and bass. He has worked extensively on the other side of the glass as a talented recording engineer and producer with such notable acts as Aerosmith, Jonathan Richmond, Weather Report, and Little Feat. Steven’s band performed a charity concert in Las Vegas with ex-Eagles’ guitarist Don Felder, where they collectively raised over $1.2 million for the City of Hope, and they continue to play gigs around LA.
With her soulful, impeccably tuned voice and crafted poetry, Boston’s Alice Howe is “at once of the moment and timeless, personal and universal” (Mark Walton, Americana UK). Her pure, distilled sound reflects a musical sensibility rooted in ‘60s folk and ’70s Southern California songwriters. 2017
was the year that Alice began making big waves in the folk world. Her EP You’ve Been Away So Long debuted on the April Folk-DJ charts with a #1 song - "Homeland Blues" and #11 album. Alice was selected as a Falcon Ridge Folk Festival Emerging Artist, an Official Showcase Artist at FAR-West Folk Alliance, and a Formal Showcase Artist at Northeast Regional Folk Alliance. Alice’s album, VISIONS, produced by Freebo (Bonnie Raitt, CSN, Maria Muldaur, Dr. John) and released in 2019, was recorded with a band of stellar musicians in Bakersfield, California and received critical acclaim.
Since arriving to Los Angeles in 2014, French singer/songwriter Jules Galli has already turned heads and arrested hearts. Influenced by such legends as Queen, Michael Jackson and Bob Marley, Jules’ unique brand of original pop music blends the best elements of funk, soul, Reggae, and R&B into one utterly memorable package. The Jules Galli live experience is a riveting, high-energy, larger-than-life stage performance that never loses sight of the fact that music’s primary purpose is to move people and bring them together. Jules has opened for Macy Gray, and his single “Without Your Love” was featured in a Hanz De Fuko video starring Marinao de Viao.
Carly Smithson is a soul/pop rock singer, songwriter, and actress originally from Dublin, Ireland, who was a finalist on the 7th season of American Idol in 2007. The 2003 winner of the Meteor Ireland Music Award for Best Irish Female Singer released an album for MCA Records called Ultimate High and she spent 2010-2012 as a lead singer in the Las Vegas production of Cirque du Soleil’s Viva Elvis. Carly is the lead singer for rock band We Are the Fallen, with whom she had a hit CD (Tear the World Down) and single (“Bury Me Alive”), and played sold-out shows opening for AC/DC, Muse, and 30 Seconds to Mars.
Adam Daniel is a recording artist, producer, songwriter, and session guitarist who’s been heard in the Oscar-winning film The Descendants, hit TV shows Felicity and Ultimate Fighting Championship, and the annual Screen Actors Guild Awards. A mainstay on the Power Pop scene, his debut album Blue Pop was named "...among the best guitar-pop albums of the ‘90’s..." by All Music Guide. Adam splits his time between musical projects and web/graphic design.
Guitarist and composer extraordinaire Grant Geissman co-wrote the music for the hit CBS-TV series Two and a Half Men and Mike & Molly and was nominated for an Emmy Award in 2004 for co-writing the Two and a Half Men theme song.
Geissman played the legendary guitar solo on Chuck Mangione’s 1978 pop crossover hit “Feels So Good” and has recorded with Quincy Jones, Burt Bacharach, Elvis Costello, Van Dyke Parks, Brian Wilson, Inara George, Joanna Newsom, Gordon Goodwin‘s Big Phat Band, Paula Abdul, Ringo Starr, Keiko Matsui, David Benoit, Placido Domingo, Luis Miguel, and Julio Iglesias, in addition to being on numerous film scores. Geissman with numerous solo albums, and is also one of the country’s largest collectors of MAD Magazine and 1950s
E.C. Comics memorabilia. He has authored four definitive books on the subjects.
Originally from Toronto, Canada, Cara Lee has been wowing audiences with her powerful, soulful voice since she was 17. She’s also worked in musical theatre performing her tribute to “Cher” with the Legends in Concert show at Bally’s in Atlantic City and has portrayed Janis Joplin in “Cry Baby” which received rave reviews. As an accomplished singer/songwriter Cara has written and recorded with many well-known musicians such as guitarist Steve Farris (Mr. Mister, Rod Stewart) and bassist Phil Soussan (Ozzy Osbourne/Billy Idol). Watch for her first solo album produced by the Nashville based 3x Grammy winner Shannon Sanders (India Arie, Jonny Lang, John Legend).
Chris Paul Overall is a veteran of the Los Angeles music scene, one half of the duo LPFM, a longtime front man of the band Wonderlove, and plays ‘Paul’ in Abbey Road tribute band. Chris is a versatile songwriter and singer with over 30 years in the business. His ability to produce songs with captivating melodies and deep, emotional lyric lines are complimented by his unique voice and delivery of his songs. After years of crafting songs, Chris (CPO) wrote a unique book on songwriting called “Anyone Can Write a Song!” with his longtime friend and author Martin Brown that shares some of his methods and tips and invited some of his well-respected songwriter friends to contribute. The book is available on Amazon.
Rudy Cardenas has been singing ever since he can remember. Originally from
Venezuela, South America, Rudy resides in Los Angeles with his wife and twin girls and fronts the official Classic Rock Show band. With musical influences like Luis Miguel, Steve Perry, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Freddie
Mercury, Plácido Domingo, and more, his soulful and powerful voice coupled with his dynamic stage presence wins the hearts of many. Rudy was a contestant on season 6 of American Idol. He loves to perform whenever he can.
Milwaukee born and raised Terrell Edwards is often referred to as “the perfect blend between Sinatra & Motown”. The multi-talented crooner, songwriter, and show producer has been seducing audiences around the globe
with his unique mix of classic jazz, rhythm & blues vocals, engaging storytelling, and hours of memorable musical experiences. TE and his band opened for Jay Leno at the Mirage in Las Vegas. Edwards has also been the host of a weekly video podcast, TE Live, featuring discussions with many diverse industry professionals.
Bassist Mike Hill is a musician from Vancouver, Canada currently living in Southern California. Mike is the former musical director for Juno Winner Jill Paquette & Hollywood Records artist, ZZ Ward, and he’s toured 200+ cities around the world and has recorded with multiple signed and independent bands. Hill raised $60k through crowd funding (Kickstarter) for a rock/pop album “Love & War” and produced a 40-minute international award winning documentary (Love & War) with legendary Music Video director Nigel Dick (Guns & Roses, Elton John, Brittney Spears, Sting & Oasis..etc.) “I’ve spent my life recording on many other artist’s albums, but now I have produced my own and made something very special with my talented friends that are close to me. I hope you will enjoy listening to it as much as I do!”

Steve Bauman is a Los Angeles-based musician who has performed live with Solomon Burke, Teena Marie, Michael McDonald, Third World, Henry Kapono and more. He has worked in the studio with Chaka Khan, Stanley Clarke, Tom Jones, Paula Abdul and Thomas Dolby. Steve’s music has appeared in numerous films and television shows including Deadpool and The Voice. Some of his own scoring credits include working for Danny Elfman on his film music production team.
Gemma ‘Coco’ Dolenz is the younger sister of Micky Dolenz (The Monkees). She sings background vocals with The Monkees on tour and in the studio. She also performs solo shows, "Songs from my Music Stand" which include her favorite Jazz tunes and songs from the Great American Song Book.
Marc Mann is a Los Angeles-based musician, arranger, orchestrator, and conductor who creates music for records, TV & film. Marc is a part of Danny Elfman’s music team and played keyboards for Oingo Boingo’s live shows, and he does synths, orchestration, and choir conducting for film scores. He has credits on 54 albums, and more than 60 films, including the Men in Black series, the Spider-Man series, and the Alice in Wonderland films. Marc performed and recorded as part of the Electric Light Orchestra with Jeff Lynne, and he is featured alongside Lynne, Eric Clapton, Ringo Starr, and Paul McCartney in the Concert for George (Harrison). He also shared guitar solos with Prince at George Harrison’s 2004 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction ceremony, performing “While my Guitar Gently Weeps” with Tom Petty, Lynne, Jim Capaldi, and Steve Winwood.
John McNeely is a singer/songwriter and guitarist from New Orleans. He moved to Los Angeles in the ’90s with his original rock band, SX, where he formed the band One More than Two and performed in clubs on the Sunset Strip, including The Roxy and Whiskey a Go Go. In 2014 John released Girl in the City, his first solo record, under the name McNeely.
(Marilyn Wilson-Rutherford and Ginger Blake) The Honeys were formed in 1961 by siblings Marilyn and Diane Rovell, and their cousin, Ginger Blake. They were introduced to Brian Wilson, who agreed to produce the group. They reeled off a series of outstanding singles including “Shoot the Curl,” “Pray for Surf,” and the Phil Spector homage “The One You Can’t Have,” as well as 1964’s superb “He’s a Doll.” Brian and Marilyn were soon married and had two daughters, Carnie and Wendy. Ginger later went on to become a successful backup/session singer. Throughout the years The Honeys (named after the surfing term for girlfriends of surfers) have continued to perform together, and an anthology CD, Capitol Collection Series: The Honeys, was released on Capitol Records in 1992.
In the 1980s, Jeff Alan Ross became a member of the legendary Apple band Badfinger.” Notably Jeff has toured with Mick Taylor (The Rolling Stones), Gerry Marsden (Gerry & The Pacemakers), Denny Laine (The Moody Blues, Wings), Terry Sylvester (The Hollies), and guitar legend Albert Lee. In 2006, Jeff became musical director for the reunion of ’60s British Invasion duo Peter & Gordon and remains Peter Asher’s musical director and co-producer for his shows.
Gary Griffin is best known for performing as a keyboardist and vocalist with The Beach Boys, Brian Wilson, Jan & Dean and The Surf City Allstars. As an actor, he appeared as a regular on TV shows General Hospital and as a member of Jesse & the Rippers, the fictitious band on Full House; in 2016 he was in the premiere episode of the Netflix series Fuller House, the sequel to Full House. His longtime association with Brian Wilson and The Beach Boys landed him roles in the mini-series The Beach Boys: An American Family (for which he also served as music director with his friend John Stamos) and he can be seen in the 2015 Brian Wilson biopic Love and Mercy. Gary has produced Micky Dolenz of The Monkees and Harry Shearer, and engineered Petula Clark, Jimmy Webb, Christopher Cross, Al Kooper, Rod McKuen & Mark Lindsay. He continues to play keyboards, vibes and sing in the Brian Wilson band and works with various other members of The Beach Boys.
Al. Keith found inner peace through music at a young age while growing up on the streets of Cleveland. After relocating he began playing percussion, singing and recording with Southern California-based bands and musicians including International Reggae All Stars, Wozani, Native Sun and more. He’s toured with Dave Wakeling of General Public, Michael Rose of Black Uhuru, The Bonedaddys, Victor Essiet in Nigeria, the Doug Means Project and Sugar Ray. Al.’s own project, Al.’s Peace, was aptly named after his continuing quest to be close to the type of peace that the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King embraced. Al. has performed on MTV’s Motel California, National Geographic’s 30th Anniversary Special, the Oxygen Channel’s Trackers and HBO’s True Blood.
Scotty Mitchell has been playing woodwinds for over 40 years, having worked with numerous recording artists including Jim Fuller of The Surfaris. He has taught at Cassell’s Music in San Fernando for over 15 years, and his students have gone on to universities in the UC, Cal State, and AZ systems. He has worked with the Ventura Jazz Orchestra, Angel City Jazz Band, and the Pacific Pearl Symphony in Thousand Oaks. Scotty is a member of Pacific and he also plays with The British Beat, Latin Soul Dance Band, and Lil’ Elmo and the Cosmos.
Born into a musical family, Jaynee Thorne is the granddaughter of a pop songwriter and an opera singer on both sides of her family. At the age of seven she performed in a musical duo for her second-grade class. Singing became her need to survive. Jaynee is a performing singer/songwriter, background vocalist for Severin Browne, and released her solo album in 2018. Her music inspires and encourages … our world of constant challenge and change.
Freebo is a world-renowned bassist who has worked with Bonnie Raitt, Crosby, Stills & Nash, John Mayall, Maria Muldaur, and Ringo Starr, and an award-winning singer/songwriter whose music will touch your heart with songs of life, love, dogs, and the human condition.
Dann Gillen is an L.A. based session and touring drummer best known for his work with Annie Lennox and the band Venice. He is a fourth generation drummer who has recorded and/or performed with the likes of Michael McDonald, Kenny Loggins, Richard Page, Billy Idol, David Crosby, Jackson Browne, Heart, the Supremes, and many, many more. He is also a producer, songwriter, session singer, husband and father of two. Dann is endorsed by DW Drums, Paiste Cymbals, Latin Percussion and Cinepaq In-Ear Monitors.
DAVE PEARLMAN (pedal steel, lap steel, guitar) has been playing pedal steel and guitar since 1968, performing with such notable artists as Dan Fogelberg, Phil Everly, Bill Medley, Hoyt Axton, REO Speedwagon, Bobby Womack, Pat Boone, Michelle Shocked, Joe Walsh, Billy Vera, and many others; he’s also been recorded on many movie and television soundtracks, and commercials. Dave ran a successful recording studio for many years, and he was given an award for engineering on a Grammy-winning album. Dave now owns and operates Pearlman Microphones where he hand builds custom microphones for some of the top studios in the world.
is not only a renowned bassist, having toured with Janis Ian and Charlie Rich, but he is great fun to watch. Chad has been playing bass, guitar, mandolin, and trombone with groups since 1963, and a few additional highlights of his touring and recording career include Freddy Fender, The Seeds, David Arkenstone, and a decade with Delaney Bramlett. Chad also has his own band, featuring his talented wife Pam Loe, called The Chad Watson Band that performs all around Southern California.
MJ ULTRA is a Los Angeles based alternative-R&B singer/songwriter, actor, and performing artist.
Pete Wagonhurst picked up a guitar at the age of 6 and started his first band when he was eleven. Over the years he has played and recorded with various artists and bands from .LA. to London. He has participated in several Get Together Foundation benefit concert events. Pete is currently a member of Pacific on their endless But This Time We Really Mean It “farewell tour.”
is an American poet mostly known for his collaborations with The Beach Boys. He is also known for his 1969 album A World of Peace Must Come, a collaboration with Beach Boy bandleader Brian Wilson. Kalinich co-wrote several songs released by The Beach Boys including “All I Want to Do,” “Be Still,” “Little Bird,” and “A Time to Live in Dreams.” Other artists he has collaborated with are P.F. Sloan, Art Munson, Kenny Hirsch, Randy Crawford, Mary Wilson of The Supremes, Odyssey, and Clifton Davis.
Fuzzbee Morse is a multi-instrumentalist, producer, songwriter & performer. Fuzzbee has played with such groundbreaking artists as Lou Reed, Peter Gabriel, Jaco Pastorius, Frank Zappa, the Chambers Brothers, Richie Havens, Bono, Ric Ocasek, Aaron Neville, Jean-Luc Ponty, and Karla Bonoff. He’s scored many movies, commercials & TV shows and is an accomplished improv music/comedy performer, most notably with The Flying Fannoli Brothers & Off The Wall. Of his recent album, Dreams and Other Living Things, featuring Tony Levin, Jerry Marotta, and David Sancious, American Songwriter said, "this is an album for the ages", "a lesson in remarkable songwriting," and "an absolute masterpiece - a musical feast."
